Home to the Facility of Applied Sciences (Engineering), the Faulty of Management, and the Faculty of Education, the EME Building acts as a hub for all students on campus and provides bookable study rooms, common areas, and a collegium. Additional spaces include classrooms, lecture theatres, administration offices, and a variety of teaching and research labs. This largely transparent building provides an abundance of natural lighting contributing to the project’s LEED Gold certification. Additional sustainable strategies include low flow consumption fixtures, natural ventilation, and connections to the campus geothermal system. The 18-month timeline was fulfilled with major additions and redesigns and the project was more than $2 million under budget.
