Atira project, located in Surrey, BC is a 44-unit supportive housing building consisting of a ground level parking, amenity areas and four floors of residential modular units. This project started in the summer of 2021 and construction wrapped up in June 2022.
Located in a high density area on a major road, underground services as well as the renovation on the adjacent lot, required in depth coordination with the consultants and clients and onsite construction crew.
This modular, supportive housing project was designed with residents comfort and interests at heart, featuring large windows, high performance building envelope systems, cedar fiber board exterior and the latest buildings technologies. Atira was also designed sustainably to meet Step Code 4 as per BC Housing’s energy standards guidelines.
Successfully completed on time and under budget meeting the needs of the community for sustainable, affordable and accessible housing for low income residents.
I am pleased to celebrate the opening of the newest social housing project in Surrey, ...council is deeply committed to working with all levels of government to combat homelessness in our City. I would like to thank our partners for their help in making this project a reality."
