At MQN, we know that collaboration brings about our best work. Its why we work in teams, drawing from one another’s strengths to create the very best in commercial, residential, and institutional spaces.
As one of the Okanagan’s longest-operating home grown architectural practices, we’re well-versed in the nuances of this incredible region. We continue to explore innovative ways to strengthen and grow this incredible place we call home.
The people are great, our clients are amazing, the projects are fun and challenging, and the work environment is flexible.

I love working on innovative projects, it gives me the opportunity to express my creativity while coming up with design solutions with our clients.

My favourite part about working for MQN is the collaboration among the team. Every team member is unique and brings their own skills and strengths to come up with the best solutions for a client. We all benefit from the sharing of ideas and information and learn from each other.
Shawn van Boven,
BIM Manager
MQN fosters a culture of continuous growth and learning and empowers employees to pursue professional development opportunities relevant to their interests and goals. From workshops and training sessions to mentorship programs, we’re committed to supporting everyone’s journey of growth and success.
Cohesion and collaboration is crucial to our workplace culture, which is strengthened through extracurricular interests, chats over the perfect cup of coffee, or office festivities. From group site visits and tailgate BBQs to festive holiday parties and summer promotional days out of the office, we embrace every opportunity to connect with colleagues in a fresh environment. These events give us the opportunity to inspire creativity and get to know each other better as people.
We love our interns. The ambitious minds of students and architecture graduates eager to immerse themselves in the profession enhance our creative spirit. Interns have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in conceptualizing and developing design concepts across various project types. Active mentoring is provided by excited project leads, partners, and other staff. We encourage our interns to lead small to medium-sized projects, contributing to our pursuit of sustainable design excellence.
We’re committed to making a positive impact beyond the workplace by engaging in community involvement initiatives such as annual golf tournaments, auctions, and youth sports sponsorships. Many of our team members serve the community by sitting on non-profit boards, sponsoring small businesses, and participating in fitness-based fundraisers
