Brooks Lane Condo is a new 17-unit, 5-storey, multi-family housing development located on the adjacent 7497 & 7501 Brooks Lane properties. The properties are located within the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre as described within Vernon’s Official Community Plan (OCP) and designated as mixed: Tourist Commercial and Parks & Open Space. The property was recently re-zoned to C10A: Tourist Commercial and Residential. The proposed Brooks Landing development is consistent with this zoning and the Official Community Plan. The 5-storey development is comprised of large 2 and 3 bedroom residential units constructed above a partially underground parking structure. The project features a lakeside common pool & spa area, private storage spaces, personal garages within the parkade, and a rooftop patio amenity. Throughout the design, 4 guiding principles were implemented (Crime Prevention Through Environment Design): natural surveillance, natural access control, territorial reinforcement, and maintenance. The materials used include high quality and long lasting stone veneer, full colour fiber-cement cladding, and wood accents.
