Armstrong City Hall

Armstrong, BC

Completed 2023

This project was a renovation to the existing Armstrong City Hall building. The new building is a two-storey facility with a walkout basement. The facade features large timber framing columns and a canopy, cement board, stone, and oversized glazing at the entrance with large prominent lettering to identify the building. To increase longevity, a durable standing seam roof was added. The interior space features a large 70-seat council chamber, accessible washrooms, office spaces, clerical reception area with small kitchenette, two conference rooms, a second-floor classroom and a future community hall space.

A lot of the features in the building are made out of wood, cedar, and some post-and-beam construction, and Armstrong has a very long history of logging and sawmills in the community going back over 100 years so it's nice to be able to bring all these details into our new facility"
