Langley Events Centre

The Langley multi-purpose facility is a private-public venture, fast tracked, featuring BC Wood project. [MH1] The facility serves as home to the Langley Rivermen BCHL Junior “A” Hockey franchise, and also accommodates numerous sporting, educational, and entertainment events including concerts and trade shows. The entire complex consists of a main arena with a seating capacity of 4,867 and 12 private viewing boxes. The building also includes a secondary ice surface with a seating capacity of 309 for community use, a restaurant, offices, and space for a potential future community center. An exterior covered promenade extends around the front end of the building, facilitating accessibility and flow. The venues second building houses the field house, a dry floor arena, as well as a double gymnasium with a capacity of 1,000 spectators. Other highlights include an 800-seat banquet hall, indoor walking track, meeting rooms, and the Willoughby Community Centre, which includes a fitness facility, outdoor playground, and grass and turf fields. Green building design and construction elements were incorporated into the facility. The multiplex was upgraded in size prior to completion.
