The project is designed to achieve LEED® Gold Certification through the use of grey water for irrigation, natural lighting to interior spaces, bio-swales for stormwater management, and Pine Beetle wood was featured as a certified wood material within the building.
Steel and glass create a modern facade, contrasted by the curves of Centre for Dialog, a pod-like structure made from indigenous fir. An atrium connects the addition to the library, providing additional study space.
Though slated to achieve LEED® Gold Certification, the project may be eligible for LEED® Platinum Certification.
