This project was comprised of 14 Intensive Care suites, and the Coronary Unit was comprised of 10 Coronary Care suites. Each unit had two suites which were completed to the rough-in stage, requiring final finishing only. These were located in the shell structure of the second floor of the four storey tower.
Intensive Care suites were provided with ceiling hung articulating arms for support of patient monitors and provision of all medical gases, and support assemblies for patient care requirements. These state of the art systems allowed medical staff the ability to provide care for patients in an unhindered manner.
Upon completion, the ICU/CCU facility was viewed by Medical Professionals as the standard for future facilities of this type.
