The objective of the renovation to this 1970’s lakeshore home was to use contemporary elements of design to create an ‘indoor/outdoor ‘lifestyle. An open concept floor plan maximizes views and was accomplished with the use of folding door panels. Continuity and the illusion of space were created with natural products and a neutral colour scheme that uses rich creams and warm coloured wood.
Tucked away in the trees, this seasonal home is located on waterfront property on Kalamalka Lake in Vernon, BC. This contemporary home was renovated to take full advantage of the stunning view in attempts to ‘bring the outside in’ with a folding glass wall system. All natural materials were used from limestone floor tile to basalt stone creating an organic feel throughout this renovation.
